Components at volume: the parts behind Europe's furniture brands

A large share of Romanian wood manufacturing never becomes a finished product with a Romanian name on it. It becomes the chair legs, the drawer boxes, the panels and the CNC parts of brands in Germany, Italy and Scandinavia. These factories are built for volume, repeatability and drawings. We know where they are.

What Romania does well in components

Solid hardwood parts at scale. Turned, bent and machined beech and oak components for chairs, tables and beds are a Romanian specialty going back decades, with the drying and machining capacity to feed a European assembly plant every week.

Panel processing to drawing. Cut-to-size, edgebanded and drilled panels, drawer boxes, fronts in melamine, veneer or paint. The plants we know run modern CNC and edgebanding lines from the same suppliers your own factory uses, and they work from your CAD files.

Subassemblies that shorten your line. Several producers deliver pre-assembled modules, from drawer systems to complete carcasses, so that your plant only does the final assembly and packing.

“The question for a components buyer is not quality. It is stability: will the parts arrive every Tuesday for three years? These factories have been doing exactly that.”
